Applications for Funding

Shares for Good is a registered independent charity established in 2006 to facilitate the donation of shares for the benefit of charities in New Zealand.

The Shares for Good Trust aims to make a meaningful difference to the lives of New Zealanders through its support of non profit organisations with a focus on the social services sector.

Shares for Good is principally engaged in addressing social issues. This will be achieved through the support of charities and non profit organisations who aim to improve communities by reducing poverty, improving equity between groups, supporting children and their families, and enhancing the wellbeing and opportunities for those most at risk.

The Shares for Good Trust is interested in hearing from registered non profit and charitable trusts who are engaged in delivering initiatives and programmes that address compelling community needs.

Donations are made on an annual basis. Applications are accepted throughout the year and there is no application deadline.

• - Overseas travel, expenses, exchange programmes

• - Projects outside the geographical borders of New Zealand

• - Religious or political advocacy or advancement

• - Sport and Recreation

• - Arts, Drama or Performing Arts

• - Establishment of Charities

• - Business or Investment Capital

• - Salaries

• - Environmental initiatives

We will acknowledge your application by letter/email.

We will begin reviewing your application. We will only begin this process if all additional information is enclosed with the application form.

We may request further information to assist the trustees with reviewing your application.

Applications will be short listed for consideration by the trustees.
